What is the Tri-Valley Learning Corporation?
The Tri-Valley Learning Corporation (TVLC) fulfills the governance and oversight role for the Livermore Valley Charter School (LVCS), the Livermore Valley College Preparatory High School (LVCP), and Tassajara Prep High School (Tassajara Prep). It provides the legal structure necessary for charter schools in California.
Does TVLC have previous experience/success launching a charter school?
Yes. TVLC has 8 years of experience operating LVCS, a highly successful K-8 charter school in Livermore with over 900 students and a waiting list of over 600 students. TVLC also operates LVCP, a highly successful charter high school committed to applying the best practices in education and using state-of-the-art technology. LVCP will begin its second year of instruction in August 2011 with approximately 200 students in 9th and 10th grades from Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, and other nearby communities.
